1. Introduction

Your privacy matters to us. This notice explains what personal information Think Drinks Limited (“Think Drinks”, “we”, “us”) collects when you interact with us, how we use it, and the rights you have. We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Think Drinks Limited is the data controller of the personal data we process about you. We are a company registered in England and Wales (company number 07439914), with our registered office at 65 Whiteladies Road, Bristol, BS8 2LY. Our VAT number is GB 862 9796 61.

We may update this notice from time to time. The version published on this page is the one that applies each time you use our website or interact with us.

2. The information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect and hold the following personal information:

  • Account and contact details — your name, business (trading) name, email address, telephone number and role.
  • Delivery and billing addresses — the sites you order to and any addresses saved to your account.
  • Order information — the products you order, order history, invoices and any promotional codes used.
  • Payment information — card payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we only hold a secure token and card summary (brand, last four digits and expiry) if you choose to save a card.
  • Marketing preferences — whether you have opted in to hear from us by email.
  • Website and technical data — information collected through cookies and similar technologies, such as your IP address and how you use our site.

3. How we collect your data

We collect personal information directly from you when you:

  • create a trade account, sign in, or update your details;
  • place an order or request a quote;
  • contact us by email, phone or through our website;
  • opt in to receive marketing from us; or
  • browse our website, where we use cookies and similar technologies.

4. How we use your information

We use your personal data to: process and deliver your orders and comply with our legal obligations; manage your trade account and provide customer support; send service messages relating to your orders (such as confirmations and invoices); protect our business and customers from fraud and misuse; and, where you have opted in, send you marketing about our products, serves and offers. You can opt out of marketing at any time.

5. Legal bases for processing

We rely on the following legal bases under UK GDPR: performance of a contract (to fulfil your orders and manage your account); our legitimate interests (to run, protect and improve our business, and to send relevant business-to-business communications); compliance with a legal obligation (for example, keeping records for tax and accounting); and consent (for example, where you opt in to marketing emails — you can withdraw consent at any time).

6. Payments

Card payments are handled by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. Stripe processes your payment data as a separate controller in line with its own privacy policy.

7. How we store your data and how long we keep it

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or damage. We keep your information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out here — order and transaction records are typically retained for up to 7 years to meet our legal and accounting obligations, and marketing data is kept until you tell us you no longer wish to hear from us. After that, data is securely deleted or anonymised.

8. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary to run our business, with providers who act on our instructions and are bound to keep it secure — including our delivery partners, our payment processor (Stripe), our email provider, and our hosting and infrastructure providers. We may also disclose information where required by law or to prevent fraud.

9. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • be informed about how your data is used;
  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
  • have your data erased in certain circumstances;
  • restrict or object to processing;
  • data portability;
  • withdraw consent at any time; and
  • not be subject to solely automated decision-making.

10. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to make our website work, to keep you signed in, and to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Some cookies are essential for the site to function.
